Teijin, Emmen, 2020-Ongoing. Manager Engineering Department.

Role: Manager Engineering department, approximately 25 fte. The department is responsible for the execution of all technical CAPEX projects in Emmen. Total annual budget is approximately 25 million euros.

FrieslandCampina, Wageningen, 2017-2019. Project Jumpstart.

Role: Technical manager in the project team. Jumpstart is a farmer cooperative initiated by FrieslandCampina to develop standardised manure digesters on farmer scale. The goal was to develop robust installations attractive for farmers, supported by guaranteed performance contracts, lease construction and subsidies. In 2018, 8 installations were built and FrieslandCampina decided to continue roll out of the installations.

Province North Brabant, 2019. Second Opinion CAPEX Heat Distribution.

Role: Second Opinion on a CAPEX estimate for a District heating project called EnergyWebXL. The project contained two parts: Energy recovery from Shell Moerdijk plant and a Heat transport system by Enpuls from Moerdijk towards a greenhouse area Nieuw Prinsenland. The works were executed in an expert team with KH Engineering (Erik de Boer) and RH DHV (Gerard Filé).

FrieslandCampina, Gerkesklooster, 2015-2018. Project Phoenix.

Role: Overall project management of the Phoenix project for the final completion phase and start up. A rebuild and expansion of the current cheese production facility after the fire of July 2014. Completion of the storage and treatment facilities. Leading the project team of FC and suppliers and partners as Jorritsma, Cofely/Engie, DERO, BA, etc. Investment app. €40 million.

Project manager for several other investments for the Gerkesklooster facilities, such as renewal of loading/unloading facilities, ATEX measures on dryer installation, brine storage renewal.

FrieslandCampina CPI, Leeuwarden. 2013-2015. Project PAVE2.

Role: overall project management of the project team. A total renewal and expansion of the current processing plant of Evap (Evaporated dairy products). Characteristics: Capacity 550 kton/yr, new technologies, large impact on operation, complex process and logistics. Investment app. €110 million.

FrieslandCampina, Leeuwarden. 2012-2014. Project PAVE1.

Role: overall project management of the project team. The realization of a new production line of 170g evap cans. The line consists of new canning equipment, filler, sterilizer, labelling and packing equipment placed in a new building. Characteristics: Capacity 1200 cans/minute, tight time schedule, large diversity of machines by global procurement. Investment app. €40 million.

FrieslandCampina CB&M, Workum. 2011-2013. Project Workum 50+.

Role: overall project management of project team. The realization of a state of the art cheese production line with a capacity of 60 kton/yr cheese. Characteristics: integration in existing installation of pre-treatment section, utilities, packing area, realization in operating factory. Investment app. €35 million. Watch the Youtube video.

Gasunie N.V., Groningen. 2010-2011. Project CS Scheemda/Wijngaarden.

Role: project manager for detailed engineering phase including construction management support. On two locations (Scheemda and Wijngaarden) natural gas compression installations as part of the strategic “Gasrotonde” project of Gasunie were realized. Characteristics: Finalization and closure of detailed engineering by Tebodin. Several modifications and improvement of the relationship between Tebodin Gasunie. Investment >€100 million.

Twence B.V., Hengelo. 2009-2011. Project Marssteden.

Role: overall project management of the project team. A district heat heating supply from the waste treatment facility of Twence in Hengelo to the district heating network of Essent Marssteden in Enschede. Characteristics: capacity 80 MWth. Integration in existing facilities of Twence and Essent, 5 km underground pipelines through vulnerable environment, EU Contracting procedure for turn-key delivery. Twence B.V., Hengelo. 2004-2009. Project BEC.

Role: overall project management of the project team. A stand-alone 20 MWe biomass powerplant operating on organic waste materials. Characteristics: EU Contracting for turn-key delivery, complete installation with material reception and pre-treatment, grate type boiler installation, flue gas cleaning, and steam turbine system. HVC Groep, Dordrecht. 2005-2007. Project 5th line.

Role: advisor conceptual design, project manager of related projects. A new 5th municipal waste treatment facility as a replacement of existing installations. Characteristics: complex embedding into existing and running operation. Investment app. €150 million.

HVC Groep, Alkmaar. 2003-2004. Project 4th line.

Role: project consultant within project team. An extension of the existing operation with a 4th municipal waste treatment facility. Characteristics: turn-key delivery, integration in existing operation. Investment app. €120 million.

NV. AVR, Rozenburg. 2001-2002. Project EHA.

Role: project consultant within project team. A plan for two waste treatment plants with fluidized bed technology in Rozenburg and Duiven. Study and conceptual design.

FrieslandCampina, Leeuwarden. 2000-2001. Project Cantate.

Role: overall project management. An expansion of the sterilization and packing capacity of Evap production. Characteristics: Embedding into existing facility, project team with internal experts. Investment app. €25 million.

N.V. AVR, Rozenburg. 1995-2000. Project Waterprojecten.

Role: project manager, engineering manager. A complex of different projects/operations such as waste incinerators, MED type sea water distillation units, Molybdenum recuperation unit, RO plant on drinking water, all linked by a low temperature heat recovery and distribution system. Characteristics: many new technology developments on full scale operation, complex interactions on technical, financial and organizational aspects. Project realized from concept to realization. Role: engineering manager. A new waste treatment plant embedded in the existing operation. Characteristics: Realization from contracting to operation. Investment ca. €50 million.
